Worship
Sunday Mornings @ 11AM
Worship is at the heart of our life together!
Not content to follow one liturgy (order of worship), we rotate a number of liturgies that employ a wide range of music from African to Latin and classical to celtic. Through worship, we affirm God's claim upon us in Holy Baptism and strengthened by Word and Sacrament. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we go into the world to seek justice, to strive for peace and to serve our neighbors near and far.

As a community that follows the historic liturgy of the church, we consider worship to be the work of all God's people. You are encouraged to use your talents in praise of God. Whether you're a musician, writer, dancer, visual artist or poet, you are encouraged to share your gifts with the community.
Worship is truly "the work of the people" as members of the community participate in all aspects of the liturgy: reading lessons, greeting worshipers, ushering and assisting the presiding minister. We cherish the gifts of those who interpret the Word through movement and the visual arts and encourage you to use your talents in the worship of God. We hope you'll share your ideas and experiences so we can learn from you!
Language in Worship
We strive to be inclusive and imaginative in our use of language so that we are at the same time faithful to the tradition of the church and sensitive to the ongoing movement of the Holy Spirit. When nouns and pronouns do not adequately reflect faith in the Triune God who cannot be limited to male or female imagery, we encourage worshipers to substitute words that allow them better to express themselves to God. As a result, you may expect to hear occasional "dissonance" (or to experience a bit of Pentecost!) in worship since God exceeds our verbal description or understanding.
