Lutheran Campus Ministry
What's Happening?
Light for the Week!
We hope the semester is off to a great start! Here's the latest news from LOL/LCM.
Worship: Sundays @ 11AM
Holy Communion is celebrated each week and is followed by brunch in the felloship hall or a barbecue on the lawn. It's the best meal of the week!
Choir: Tuesdays 7:15-8:15PM
Campus ministry has a rich tradition of fine music and welcomes all who wish to join the choir or to "make a joyful noise" as soloists or assisting ministers. Interested? Director of Music Ministries Time Krohn would love to hear from you: tskrohn@comcast.net
Usually Eucharist: Tuesdays @ 6:30 and 8:30PM
On Tuesdays evenings at 6:30 and 8:30PM, we gather in the chapel for a quiet, contemplative mid-week liturgy. Usually, it'll be a Service of Holy Communion but sometimes we may substitute Evening Prayer at 6:30 and Compline (Night Prayer) at 8:30. You can expect music, scripture and time for reflection and sharing. This is a great opportunity to take a break from the busy-ness of the week, to rest, to breathe and to refresh your soul.
Dream. Think. Be. Do.: Wednesdays at 7PM
Young Adults are already re-visioning Christianity and helping people understand what it means to follow Jesus in a post-modern world. A catalyst for discussion of progressive Christianity for young adults, DTBD features the insights of 25+ top-notch theologians. Bundled into 4 5-session modules, the program lends itself to the challenges of the academic calendar. Together, let's Dream, Think, Be, and Do with all our heart & soul & mind & strength! Come to one session or to all!
Sessions meet on Wednesdays (not all are consecutive Wednesdays) at 7PM in the downstairs lounge.

Sunday Morning Bible Study: 9:45AM
Is Sunday morning the only time you have to spare for Bible study? If so, join like-minded folks for study, conversation and prayer in the downstairs lounge. For details, contact Whitney Robinson or Christian Williams Christian Williams.
Irreverent Move Nights: As Scheduled
It is the responsibility of every generation to share with those who follow the irreverent movies that have been formative to their lives and faith. To wit, LOL/LCM will occasionally offer an Irreverent Movie Night in order to expose today's young adults to the treasures of those who have gone before. Films screened as the spirit moves…Suggestions welcome.
Light for the Week
We're eager to keep in touch! Each week, we send out an email to let you know about upcoming events. Each week while school is in session, Pastor Sue or one of the Peer Ministers will send out a note with the highlights for the coming week. Occasionally, we use the list as a means of sharing information about special projects or events. We promise not to bombard you but simply to keep you informed. Interested? Drop a note to Pastor Sue and she'll be happy to add you to the list.
Do you Facebook?
We do! And we'd love to have you join our Facebook group, Lutheran Campus Ministry. It's a forum in which people can connect, share thoughts and ideas. We also use Facebook events to invite people to special activities.

How to Find Us
Lord of Light Lutheran Campus Ministry is located 801 S. Forest Ave., on the southeast corner of Hill Street and South Forest Avenue, just two blocks west of "The Rock."
Unfortunately, parking is at a premium - though parking tickets are abundant - around here. If you don't mind a little walk, a public parking structure is located one block north of the church, at the northwest corner of South Forest Avenue and Willard Street. We are happy to validate your parking for a maximum of 2 hours.
On Sundays and legal holidays, parking is available along both sides of South Forest Avenue. In addition, parking in the public structure north of us is free on Sundays.
In addition, Monday-Friday from August through April, The Link stops at the southwest corner of South Forest Avenue and Hill Streets, right across from the church. You're welcome to relax on the lawn while you wait for the bus.
